Besides the continental distances, we are also very competitive in countries such as Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan and other Asian countries that used to import the calcium carbonate rock from Egypt by using bulk cargos. Market studies has shown that our final prices including the sea freight can be 30% cheaper in the final destination to these countries when compared with similar volumes of cargo around 50.000 metric tons. Because of the distance, the larger the volume carried on the vessel, the cheaper will be our price per metric ton. In resume, the key to reach competitive prices in Asian countries is dealing with bulk cargo volumes over 30.000 metric tons.

 

Germany is another market that we can be very competitive. This country imports large amounts of calcium carbonate from countries outside Europe. In this particular case, we are in a very comfortable position to access this market with final prices much lower than the actual suppliers.

Although we have mentioned some specific countries, it is important to point that Egypt calcium carbonate can be competitive to every country that usually imports calcium carbonate from Overseas. In this case, once the Volume is superior to 30.000 metric tons, we guarantee the final price more accessible than any other country.
